"H" is for Home

Before continuing with the Palau Mission Trip Alphabet, we present a "Welcome Home to Guam" post!

Although they loved Palau (you can see them here with the Palauan flag and a map of Palau), Amelia and Joel are glad to be home in their house. When we arrived at our house after a 1:45 am flight out of Palau, they wanted to show us their room. It was very cute.

Amelia was glad to be back in the "driver's seat". . .and so was I, although I did love being chauffeured around in the Gospel Kindergarten bus.

We bought some corn to enjoy together. Although expensive at $10 a bag (14 ears), it was certainly delicious and reminded us of Pennsylvania and Ecuador.

Tanja gave Joel and Amelia some flower wreaths (mwar mwars) before she and her mom left for their trip to Germany.

The gardenia plant greeted us with three fragrant blossoms. Ethel took good care of it while we were gone. Maybe she talked to it!

Did Amelia run for her ruby slippers, clicking them together, saying, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home."?

Welcome home!
No, but they were among the first things she looked for upon our arrival back to Guam. If they ever do a "Wizard of Oz" kids show, I'll have her audition for Dorothy. Her hair and appearance would be perfect!!! And she sings a very nice "Over the Rainbow."
