Back Safe and Sound

We are back from Palau and had a great time, although it is nice to be back home, too. The people of Palau showed us their generosity and hospitality in so many ways. Soon we will post more about our adventures. Here we present a few pictures to whet your appetites.

We arrived on Thursday, June 5, at 10:00 pm in Palau and the protocol committee for Gospel Days adorned us with leis that the young people from the Koror church had made for us.

The PIBC group worked with a short-term group from Liebenzell Mission Germany called Impact. I can not say enough good things about this wonderful team of young people and their gifted leaders Dave and Anette. They were all kind and patient with Joel and Amelia. Working with them gave us blessings from start to finish, and we shed a few tears last night as we parted company. It brought back memories of my days with Latin America Mission's Spearhead program in Mexico from 1989-91. God smiled on me to allow me this opportunity to lead the PIBC mission team to Palau. It gave me great joy to have my wife and children there to share the experience with me.

On Tuesday we went to see the well-known waterfall in Ngardmau State. Joel and Amelia did a great job hiking and the trek was certainly worth the effort. This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole trip (Thanks, Elilai). You can see the waterfall behind us.
Thanks, dear blog readers, for your patience. We will be back in the next few days to tell you more.

Welcome home! Can't wait to hear more. (And you're looking very tan, Ned.)
Thanks for writing us so quickly (as usual). We had a lovely time as a family doing ministry with the others. Marisol said I was getting brown, too. Now if we can only keep the skin cancer away!
