RADIOTON 2013
Once every year at Radio Punto we have a Radiotón to raise funds for the station. This year, in addition to having our live programming at the studio we also sponsored a stage program called "An Evening with Radio Punto." Each program prepared a 15-30 minute segment to present to the people who attended.
These first pictures are from a rehearsal that we held on Monday night.
Pastor Diego Galarza started off the Radiotón on Friday morning.
Faber and I took our turns also...
...along with some faithful listeners who arrived to give their offering and share their testimonies on the air.
Marisol participated by making some yummy desserts to share.
Tania and I closed the Radioton on Friday afternoon.
Then Joel helped us set up for the evening's program.
Pastor Diego began the evening with his segment "Línea Directa".
I "played" Marcos Witt.
The audience said that they enjoyed the program better than last year when we had Ecuadorian Christian artists come to sing!
The young people offered a snack bar for the audience members.
Miguel helped us to run the sound board. He's always a willing helper.
Tania's program "El Escaparate" directed the second segment.
One of the parts of her program was "Pepito Preguntón", a young boy who asks questions about the Bible.
Then Pato Mena in the person of radio personality Christian performed.
The skit about prayer followed.
Jacob lasted a bit longer than Elías.
Then Tania sang.
Another radio segment followed: the "Olla de Presión" (in English, the "Pressure Cooker") with Faber and Christian.
They also presented a skit.
Complete with Chapulín...
...and Jesus!
Then "Lilly Goodman" sang during their segment.
And "Jesús Adrián Romero" during my segment, "Noches con Ned". It was a good day and a good program. We almost reached our goal of $1,500. Only $200 away!
