Farnsworth Family Forum September 2014
Hello
friends, thanks for all the prayers. We
need them, and we appreciate them.
The
ministry in Cotacachi is progressing nicely.
We will have a couple’s night at the church next Friday (October
3). We are hoping to have 20 couple join
us for this special event. The couples I
mentioned in the last update continue to struggle. Please pray for Lenin/Cyntthia and
Christian/Irma.
We are in
the middle of our current MINTS class, Introduction to the Old Testament. We have seven students who are taking the
class for credit. It is always a
blessing for me to learn along with them.
Please pray
for the future of Radio Punto, Liebenzell Mission’s radio ministry in
Ecuador. We need to locate an engineer
who can help us update our previous technical study. This is a requirement for applying for a new
radio frequency from the government. Normally
the engineers charge $3,000-$5,000 for this.
We are praying that God will provide someone who is willing to do this
job for less money; this ministry has many needs to fill within the next couple
months.
On the
family front, everyone is well. Joel and
Amelia enjoy studying in home school with Morgan, our new volunteer from
Lititz, PA. Jacob and Elías love her,
too. She is a wonderful addition to our
family and will be with us until June 2015.
Joel and Amelia continue their piano and swimming lessons, and Amelia
also takes ballet three afternoons a week.
Marisol
keeps busy with household tasks, which never end with four children, including
two toddlers. Jacob and Elías are doing
well with potty training, and both of them enjoy playing outside in the back
yard, where they keep a close eye on our pet turtle. Who knows?
Perhaps they will work at as zookeepers some day.
Pray as we
try to balance all the activities in our lives.
As C.S. Lewis stated in a letter on July 22, 1922, “Biting off more than
you can chew is about the most poisonous sensation I know.” I am not the greatest at saying “no,” but I
am working on it.

El ministerio en la iglesia en Cotacachi sigue adelante. Tendremos una cena para parejas el próximo
viernes (3 de octubre). Esperamos a 20
parejas para este evento especial. Las
parejas que mencioné en el último informe siguen luchando en sus matrimonios. Oren por Lenin/Cyntthia y Christian/Irma.
Estamos a la mitad de nuestro curso actual de MINTS,
Introducción al Antiguo Testamento.
Tenemos siete estudiantes en la clase.
Siempre es una bendición para mí aprender juntos con ellos.
Por favor oren por el futuro de Radio Punto, el ministerio
radial de la Misión Liebenzell en el Ecuador.
Tenemos que encontrar a un ingeniero que puede ayudarnos a actualizar
nuestro estudio técnico. Es un requisito
para presentar la solicitud para una nueva frecuencia al gobierno.
Normalmente los ingenieros cobran entre
$3.000 y $5.000 por esto. Estamos orando
que Dios provea a alguien dispuesto a cumplir esto por menos dinero; este
ministerio tiene muchas necesidades en los próximos meses.
En la familia todos estamos bien. A Joel y Amelia les gusta hacer escuela en la
casa con Morgan, nuestra nueva voluntaria de Lititz, PA. Jacob y Elías también le quieren mucho. Morgan ha sido muy buena para nuestra familia
y estará con nosotros hasta junio del 2015.
Joel y Amelia siguen con clases de piano y natación, y Amelia estudia
ballet tres tardes a la semana.
Marisol se mantiene ocupada con los quehaceres de la casa;
nunca se acaban con cuatro hijos, incluyendo a dos párvulos. Jacob y Elías están aprendiendo a usar el
baño, y les encanta jugar afuera en el patio, donde vigilan a nuestra tortuga. ¿Quién sabe?
Tal vez trabajen en el zoológico algún día.
Oren por nosotros; estamos tratando de tener un balance de
todas las actividades de nuestra vida.
