Quito Zoo

On July 10 we spent the day at the Quito Zoo in Guallabamba.

Can you spot the monkey in this tree?

Jacob and Joel admire the Galapagos turtles.

Elias and Amelia want to see the "tortugas grandes" or the "big turtles."

Here the tapir plays hide and seek.

Jacob tries to find him.

Aren't the baby warthogs cute?

Posing on the saber tooth tiger.

Elias was so happy to see the sleeping lions: female. . .

 . . .and male.
Jacob admires another monkey.

But was not so fond of the goat.

He got close and personal to the duck.

There were ostriches this time in the area where there used to be a kangaroo.

The bird house was filled with various feathered friends.

The Farnsworth family walks down the path towards the exit.

But not before posing on the "big turtle"!!!!!!
