MACC Missions Trip

Recently a team from Muhlenburg Area Community Church in Reading, PA, traveled to Ecuador to help with a construction project at Amigos en Cristo Church in Cotacachi.

They arrived during the festival of San Juan which involves a largely drunken dancing ritual that occurs every day for a week.

More dancing.

I went to work with the team two mornings.

Joel and Amelia helped with the refreshment preparation, translation and water distribution.

 Jacob the refreshment taste tester.

Elias too.

The cute Farnsworth kids.

Pouring the concrete for the roof of the caretaker's apartment.

Helping to mix the concrete with gravel and sand.

Joel the water boy.

The ladies from Cotacachi helped to serve the lunch.

 We all ate together.

Elias helped with clean up.

 Team picture.

A familiar face for me.  I grew up with Dan at Exeter Bible Church.  Actually I was a close friend to his brother Wayne and all the family.

A couple days after most of the team left we had George and Ben over for lunch.  Thanks to all the team members for their service and help.
