CARNAVAL 2013

We recently enjoyed the visit of some dear sisters in Christ from Germany.  In this picture you can see, from right, Monika, Rosemary, Johanna and Ingerose, along with our family.  We DID NOT play carnaval with them, as you can see in the pictures below.

Each year we play carnaval in the days before Ash Wednesday when Lent begins.  It is a tradition her to play water games and get each other wet.  In previous years it was common to get soaked as you walked through the streets by "perfect"strangers, but the government has virtually put an end to that.  So we played behind closed doors or at least garage doors.  It really is great fun and helps to release energy and stress.  Why don't you try it next year, at least if you live in warm climate.

As you can see, the four oldest members of the family got into the action.

Elias the budding musician plays his recorder.

Jacob has a face that a mother AND EVERYONE ELSE could love!
