Radio Punto Antenna Tower

In our car we recently climbed the mountains around Ibarra to check out the damage done from a recent fire at the antenna tower of Radio Punto.  During the dry season in Ecuador people carelessly or deliberately set fires.  In this case we believe the latter because their is no damage to any other surrounding properties.  The main damage was done to a rubber tube that protects some cables from the transmitter.  We praise the Lord because it could have been much, much worse.

A view of Yahuarcocha lagoon from the tower site.
Marisol and kids assess the damage.

They enjoy the view.

Some family photos from the site.
Potatoes growing on a nearby field.

On our way back to Ibarra we saw a baby calf drinking his mother's milk.
