Liebenzell Ecuador Christmas Party 2014

On Monday we attended the annual Liebenzell Mission Ecuador Christmas party, moderated by field leader Rainer.  Each family received a lovely poinsettia to take home after the party.

Even Elías and Jacob enjoyed themselves.

One of the activities was making an angel decoration.

The Impact team from Germany shared an ingenious synchronized percussion number using plastic Coke bottles.

Then Hugo, Andreas, Alexandra, Donata and Noemí rapped an original song about the mission's work in Ecuador.

BRAVO!!!!

Each year we play an original version of "Minute to Win it."

Fellow MK Benny and Joel played in the first round.

Amelia and Katha played with balloons in a later round.

Dana and Negui decorated a mini Christmas tree blindfolded as Kathi watched.

Then Jana and Morgan tried their hand at the same game.

Cute MK from Germany, Mateo.

Caro and Mateo

As a family we continued our Christmas tradition of acting out the nativity story.  Marisol as Mary and I as Joseph traveled on our way to Bethlehem from Nazareth, a 130 km journey.

Being "great with child."

Jesus was born in the stable.

Mary laid Jesus in the manger.

Celebrating the birth of Jesus!!!!

Shepherds (Joel and Morgan) in the field keeping watch over their flock by night.

The angels (Elías, Amelia, and Jacob) arrived to tell the shepherds about Jesus' birth.

Mary and Joseph, in a quiet moment with Jesus.

Singing "Away in a Manger" after the skit.

Angel Elías sang.

Dana, Donata and Mirjam graced us with a beautiful classical number on keyboard and flute.

This Christmas party is always a highlight of the season.  Thanks, Liebenzell!!!!
