Farnsworth Forum

Last week we had a visit from the German Impact team.  They made pizza and brought it to our house to share with us.  This team, made up of different young people each time, comes every year to Ecuador to work with Liebenzell Mission, blessing us missionaries and the people of Ecuador as well.

The ministry of the seminary MINTS in Ibarra continues.  On Saturday we enjoyed the course BIBLIOLOGY (the doctrine of the Bible) with 25 participants.  Please pray for us as we follow-up with the four weekly classes to review the students' homework assignments.  Thanks for your support in prayer. Muchas gracias por orar por nosotros.   Vamos a empezar esta edición informándoles de cómo Dios les ha contestado las oraciones. Jacob y Elías cumplieron un año el 28 de enero.   Hemos sobrevivido un año de ser una familia con dos bebés varones.   ¡Gloria a Dios!   Ahora están caminando y necesitamos doble porción de gracia y paciencia. La mamá de Marisol, Zulema Palacios, se operó del ojo este mes; el médico está muy contento con los resultados de la operación.   Zulema se quedó con nosotros por una semana para poder descansar.   Todos derramamos unas lágrimas cuando llegó el momento en que ella regresó a su casa. Please forgive us as we make some marathon blog postings.  We have been having computer issues.  Even now, our computer is at the doctor's office.  I am posting these from the radio station.   But it is good to be back in touch through our blog, FINALLY (por fin)! In February we participated in the wedding of our friends Hugo and Alexandra.  Amelia made for a beautiful flower girl, I sang the song "How Beautiful" (Twila Paris) in Spanish, and Marisol baked a delicious cake for the reception.  (Sorry that the pictures are posting a little bit out of order!)  Joel enjoyed being among the guests and not having anything "official" to do.  Marisol's mom and our friend Marisol took care of Jacob and Elias so we could enjoy the day out.

On February 24, 2013, Marisol and I dedicated Jacob Stephen and Elías Samuel Farnsworth to the Lord.  Before the Lord and before the congregation of the Puente de Amor Church in Ibarra, Ecuador, we signed a covenant, dedicating ourselves to the task of raising Jacob and Elías "in the fear and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4).  Pastor Enrique Palacios officiated the dedication ceremony, and Joel and Amelia also participated, along with many other parents and children.  It was a blessing for us as a family.  Please pray for us to be good parents to all four of our children, gifts from God.
