This is the way we go to church!

We live close enough to church that we walk sometimes, when we're not too late.  Here you can see a recent return from church.  It's good exercise for all of us.

More Radio Tower Pictures

Former Radio Punto Station Manager Diego Galarza and his grandson Andres at the tower.  Diego and Andres accompanied me on another trip to the tower to assess the damage. Here is a picture of the main radio transmitter. You can see some of the burnt grass and the small building where the transmitter is housed.

Radio Punto Antenna Tower

Image
In our car we recently climbed the mountains around Ibarra to check out the damage done from a recent fire at the antenna tower of Radio Punto.  During the dry season in Ecuador people carelessly or deliberately set fires.  In this case we believe the latter because their is no damage to any other surrounding properties.  The main damage was done to a rubber tube that protects some cables from the transmitter.  We praise the Lord because it could have been much, much worse. A picture of Marisol and the kids with the tower in the background. A view of Yahuarcocha lagoon from the tower site. Marisol and kids assess the damage. They enjoy the view. Some family photos from the site. Potatoes growing on a nearby field. A shepherd tending his sheep in the background. On our way back to Ibarra we saw a baby calf drinking his mother's milk. Another view of Yahuarcocha lagoon.

Farnsworth Family Forum September 2012

Hello Prayer Warriors, It is a pleasure to write to you again to tell you how God is working in our lives.   Jacob and Elías turned seven-months-old on August 28, 2012.   Time sure continues to fly, doesn’t it?   The babies are starting to eat solid food, which keeps Marisol hopping even more than usual along with her other domestic responsibilities.   She recently made a beautiful set of curtains for Amelia’s room, and she likes to help cut the grass in our yard.   Pray for Marisol and all the things she has to do each day!   I honestly don’t know how she does it. We received a wonderful report regarding my dad’s cancer.   His latest scan showed that he is currently cancer free.   How we praise the Lord and thank all of you for your faithful prayers! Many of you have been praying for the visa of a young lady who was planning to come and help us with home school for Joel and Amelia for the 2012-2013 school year.   At the last minu...

FOUR GENERATIONS

Image
Here is a four generations picture of Marisol, her grandfather holding Jacob, her grandmother holding Elias, her mother Zulema, and Joel and Amelia up front.  We are so happy to have this picture for Jacob and Elias and Joel and Amelia to cherish later.  Marisol's father beams as he holds Elias and Jacob.  Joel also beaming. Look at the proud expressions of great-grandparents Enrique and Jovita holding Jacob and Elias.

German Impact Team

Image
We invited the Impact team for lunch a couple days before they left in August.  They came in Ecuador in September 2011.  Joel and Amelia enjoyed showing them our seashell collection from Micronesia.   Please pray for Katrin, Esther, Johanna, Micha, Susanne, Johannes, and Beni as they readjust to life in Germany.  Simone was not able to join us.
